1. Who we are

Koshtna is a Libyan bakery (since 2012) and a brand of بوابة الشرق الأوسط لصناعة الخبز و الخبيز و المعجنات. The Koshtna app lets you order bread and pastries from our branches, pay, and choose pickup or delivery in Libya.

2. Data we collect

• Phone number to create an account and sign in.
• Name and email if you add them to your profile.
• Delivery addresses, which may include city, area, street, and map coordinates.
• Orders, cart, favorites, and payment history.
• A device token so we can send order-status push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
• IP address and technical logs needed to run the service and prevent abuse.

Passwords are stored hashed. We do not store full card numbers. Online payments are processed by Plutu and its payment partners.

3. How we use data

• To create your account and fulfil pickup or delivery orders.
• To process cash or online payments and notify you about order status.
• To verify your phone number through our OTP provider (Akedly) when that feature is enabled.
• To improve the service and prevent fraud.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share only what is needed with:

• Plutu, to complete payments.
• Akedly, to send verification codes.
• Firebase, for app notifications.
• Our hosting provider, to run the servers.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

5. Notifications and location

You can turn off push notifications in your device settings. Delivery coordinates are used to deliver that order only. We do not continuously track your location.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep account and order data while the account is active and for as long as accounting or law requires. To request deletion or a copy of your data, email hello@koshtna.ly.

7. Security

We use HTTPS and access controls for staff tools. No internet transmission is completely secure.

8. Children

The app is for ordering bakery products. We do not knowingly target children under 13.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date is at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means you have had a chance to read the new version.
